What is a good math problem for a stack of cannonballs?
I need the question for a “math path” about Downtown Charleston, SC. We are doing the battery, and I just need to construct an equation about a stack of cannonballs that has 55 in the stack. The problem would need to be an Algebra-1 level problem. Any help?? Thanks!!
Ask ‘If they (the cannonballs) were all the same size, and stacked as a square pyramid on the parade ground, what was the total height of the pyramid as a function of the radius of the cannonballs?’
