Organizations clash over peewee football leadership
The state of children’s football in Lynchburg is coming under scrutiny as City Council considers whether it should step up support for the existing system or branch out and create a new city-run program. Discontent with the local league’s current management, the Hill City Youth Football & Cheerleading Association, has given rise to calls for the city’s Parks & Recreation Department to take over.
