The shoulders are the connectors for your whole body. They connect your back, arms and chest together. They are part of the centerpiece of your upper body. Dumbbell Shoulder Press - This is the exercise that you will alternate with the military press. It just hits the muscle a little different and helps bring the stabilizer muscles into play.

Lateral Raises - This is a sculpting exercise that helps to create the look of defined shoulders

Shoulder Shrugs - This exercise helps to build trapezius or trap muscles that connect from your neck to your shoulders.

These are the benchmark exercises for learning how to build massive shoulder muscle. If you add these to your program you can not help but notice some drastic results. Again be careful with these because a shoulder injury is never a good one.
